Alice Lake Provincial Park is a popular overnight and day use site especially the lake which offers swimming and boating.
Alice Lake Provincial Park, located 13kms north of Squamish offers a range of activities on its 396 hectares of space. Open year round, the park offers both seasonal camping, swimming, canoeing, fishing, interpretative programs and other activities enjoyed in both winter and summer such as hiking and mountain biking.
The Provincial Park has a day use site as well as the overnight camping area with 108 campsites - visitors are able to enjoy the amenities of Alice Lake amidst the mountains, lakes, meadows and forests. With its scenic trails - both hiking and biking - offer views of nearby Tantalus Mountain range and Squamish River.
Named for Alice Rose, the wife of Charles Rose who settled in the region, Alice Lake Provincial Park was established in 1956 but had been a vacation destination since the 1880s when the surrounding area was settled.
With its beautiful scenery, various hiking trails, swimming area, camping and family friendly atmosphere, it is unsurprising the popularity of this park which has become a getaway introducing visitors to natural British Columbia with educational programs and hands on experiences.
