FestEVOLVE at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum

Celebrate Charles Darwin's 202 birthday from February 11 - 13, 2011 at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum in during Darwin Day Weekend with activities, films, presentations, scavenger hunts and the 3rd Annual Bake a Cake for Darwin contest! Darwin Day Weekend is a part of the Museum's FestEVOLVE celebration which is on from February 11 - March 13, 2011 which offers guest lectures, evolution themed activities, films, talks, crafts and much more at Vancouver's newest museum which encompasses a wide range biodiversity exhibits. Happy Birthday Darwin!

Celebrate evolution and the man who theorized it, Charles Darwin at FestEVOLVE at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum in Vancouver from February 11 - March 13, 2011.Vancouver's newest Museum. the Beaty Biodiversity Museum at the University of British Columbia celebrates of evolution with FestEVOLVE, a month-long festival with scavenger hunts, activities, storytime, crafts, talks, films, tours and events for everyone!

DARWIN DAY WEEKEND
• FestEVOLVE kicks off February 11 - 13, 2011 with Darwin Day Weekend with the 3rd Annual Bake a Cake for Darwin contest on the 11th and decorate a cookie for Darwin's big day on the 12th & 13th. You can also meet 'young Darwin' and listen to the tales of his early adventures (12th & 13th: 1:00pm), the story of his life (12th: 3:00pm) and his early years in the Galapagos (13th: 3:00pm)

Don't miss the opportunity to celebrate Charles Darwin's 202 birthday while exploring this spectacular museum with over 20,000 square feet of collections and exhibits including its star exhibit, the Blue Whale skeleton, one of only two on display in Canada!
