Birds of Prey at Boundary Bay Regional Park

Visit Boundary Bay Regional Park in Delta, British Columbia to see many different species of Birds of Prey including Northern Harriers, Red-Tailed Hawks, Bald Eagles, several species of Owls such as Short-Eared Owls, Saw-Whet Owls, Great Horned Owls and many more! Explore the Park's trails along the beach and through the brush including the connected 16km dike which offers spectacular views and provides excellent viewing opportunities to see these majestic Birds of Prey through the winter months. Be sure to bring binoculars, a camera and a bird book!

Wintertime brings thousands of Birds of Prey to the region which offers plentiful food and close proximity to the ocean.

Winter offers visitors to the region a chance to see some of these birds up close with many species of Owls spotted in the region such as short-eared Owls, Great Horned Owls and Saw-Whet Owls as well as Hawks and Bald Eagles. Boundary Bay Regional Park and its connecting 16 kilometre dyke trail (map) is one of the best places to see a wide range of Birds of Prey during the winter months.

Don't miss the opportunity to see these spectacular birds while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. The dike trail is also cycling friendly. Be sure to take a camera, binoculars and a bird identification book!
