Best Places to See Fall Foliage in British Columbia

Fall brings shorter days, cooler temperatures and of course, autumn colours. Although less dramatic than our Eastern counterparts, the Fall foliage in British Columbia can be equally stunning in its own right with certain areas of the Province being recognized for their autumn colours. Here are some of Vancouver's and British Columbia's spectacular fall foliage locales which are a great way to spend an October Fall day! Why not check some out?

VANCOUVER
VANDUSEN GARDENS | Year Round | 10:00am - 5:00pm | 5251 Oak Street, Vancouver (map) | Free - $7.25 | Soak up colour at VanDusen Botanical Garden as its decidious trees change colour and its autumn flowers bloom. | Website
QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK | Year-Round | Dawn - Dusk | Cambie Street at West 33rd Avenue, Vancouver (map) | Free | Queen Elizabeth Park features both deciduous and evergreen trees and during fall, the changing fall foliage paints a magnificent picture in this 130 acre park. The outdoor arboretum offers a diverse selection of trees to enjoy as they change colours and slowly lose their leaves. | Website
STANLEY PARK | Located in Downtown Vancouver (map) | Visit Vancouver's Stanley Park, as it readies for winter in a range of hues. Fall foliage can be spotted along the Seawall, around its lakes and even inside its inner trail system.
UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA CAMPUS | UBC is located on Point Grey in Vancouver (map) | Step inside Vancouver's largest University campus and walk its tree lines pathways which offer spectacular fall foliage. Fall foliage seekers can also visit the UBC Botanical Gardens and the Nitobe Memorial Gardens.
