Pacific Rim National Park, Vancouver Island

Along Vancouver Island's rugged western coastline lies the Pacific Rim National Park, one of the most beautiful Parks in Canada. Mossy temperate rain forests, endless beaches, wildlife, storm watching, the challenging West Coast trail and the best surfing in Canada brings thousands to this spectacular gem and its laid back towns of Tofino, Ucluelet and Bamfield. Chesterman's Beach at the Pacific Rim National Park on the western coast of Vancouver Island offers surfing and exploring.Located along the most westerly coastline of Vancouver Island (along the cities of Tofino, Ucluelet and Bamfield), Pacific Rim National Park is one of British Columbia's most spectacular locale. This rugged Park offers moss covered rain forests, spruce bogs, endless sandy beaches and rocky tide pools providing several kilometres of trails, visitors centres and the best Sea life and land animals are abundant throughout Pacific Rim National Park such as this starfish found in a tidal pool.surfing in Canada (map).

Pacific Rim National Park is also the location of the world famous West Coast Trail which spans 75 kilometres along the Pacific coastline and was built between 1907 and 1910 as a way for shipwrecked sailors to make their way to nearby towns but found new use as a The Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre located in Pacific Rim
National Park on Long Beach is a place to learn about the geography,

People can also visit the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre (map) which focuses on the regions natural and cultural heritage through exhibits, displays, films and events. The building (which also houses a restaurant) also overlooks Long Beach - a popular storm watching and surfing locale.

Pacific Rim National Park is a must visit on Vancouver Island's west coast offering views, hiking, birding, fishing, cycling, boating, paddling, wildlife viewing, camping, interpretative centres and the best surfing in Canada.

The Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre at the Pacific Rim National Park has many example of geographical, cultural and heritage related artifacts and exhibits.
