2010 Olympic Experience: Richmond O Zone

The Richmond O Zone provides a place to explore and enjoy the Olympics without having to come to the City. Based in beautiful Richmond, British Columbia the O Zone provides a variety of interesting activities, events and shows ranging from popular artists performing on stage, fireworks, Chinese New Year celebrations, indoor games, the Ice Art World Competition, the Ice Gate instillation all to explore during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games!

The Richmond O Zone is a place for locals and visitors to enjoy entertainment, games and share their Olympic Spirit during the 2010 Winter Games.The Richmond O Zone provides a place for locals and visitors to gather and celebrate the 2010 Olympic Winter Games taking place in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia. Located in Minoru Park, the O Zone incorporates a large screen to watch all the action, interactive games, an outdoor skating rink, events and The Richmond O Zone will be hosting the Ice Art World Championships with beautiful pieces created from blocks of ice.entertainment from artists around the world, meet and greets with Olympic athletes, food and fireworks shows!

  • Time: February 9th: 7:00pm - 9:00pm February 12th - 28th: Mon-Fri: 3:00pm - 11:00pm / Sat-Sun: 12:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Admission: FREE
  • How to get there: The Richmond O Zone is located in Minoru Park between Granville Avenue and Westminster Highway and No. 3 and Gilbert Roads. Several buses can be taken to the Park and it is located close to the Richmond-Brighouse Skytrain Station.

Check out BCLC Indoor Games Dome to check out interactive games, BC Street which showcases communities across the Province, the Ice Gate - an artwork made of painted ice, the Holland Heineken House and special events such as the Ice Art World Competition on the 20th and 21st, Fireworks on the 9th, 12th, 14th and 28th and celebrate the arrival of the Olympic Torch in Richmond on February 9th.
