Royal Canadian Mint Boutique on Granville

The Royal Canadian Mint (the Monnaie royale canadienne) produces and designs all of Canada's circulation and collectors coins. In February and March 2010, the Royal Canadian Mint opened up an extremely popular temporary venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic games where visitors got the opportunity to see the Mint's collections, learn how coins are made and got the chance to hold an Olympic medal for the first time in history. In the wake of the Mint's popularity in Vancouver they have opened a temporary boutique which sells and displays coins, trades pocket money for new limited edition quarters and offers special events such as the return of the 2010 Olympic medals!
