2011 Stanley Park BioBlitz

This weekend head to Stanley Park and join the twenty-four hour BioBlitz where citizens, scientists and local stewardship and environmental groups work together to identify flora and fauna. Roll up your sleeves and participate in pond dips, bat surveys, bird counts, amphibian searches and nature walks, visit the community groups and enjoy family activities at Lumberman's Arch and visit interpretative tents at Beaver Lake and at the Nature House. Experience Stanley Park's biodiversity and discover some of the Park's unique inhabitants which can be found within its one thousand acres. Join friends and neighbours for the first ever Stanley Park BioBlitz!

Join the Stanley Park BioBlitz on August 20 - 21, 2011! Be a part of the first annual Stanley Park BioBlitz with twenty-four hours of discovering the Park's biodiversity. Take part in activities including a Beach Seine, Hummingbird Trapping, Wild Edibles and Medicinal Plant Walk, Bat Mist-Netting, Owl Survey, Small Mammal Trapping, Bird ID Walk, Native Plant Garden Tour, Beaver Lake Amphibian trapping, Beaver Lake Pond Dip, Insect Identification Walk, Freshwater Fish Trapping and more! Learn about the flora and fauna in Vancouver's Stanley Park:
