Klahowya Village in Stanley Park

The Aboriginal Tourism Association of BC and the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation have joined together to bring the Klahowya Village to Stanley Park, a journey into British Columbia's aboriginal culture and history on July 1, 2010 to September 6th, 2010. Experience the village which offers weaving and carving demonstrations, aboriginal cuisine, talk to the Village elders, watch cultural performances, visit the Children's Farmyard and take a ride on the Spirit Catcher Train - a thirteen minute journey through the aboriginal history and culture of British Columbia.

Lagoon Stage at the Klahowya Village in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia.This summer Stanley Park's Miniature Train plaza will be transformed into the Klahowya Village which represents the varied aboriginal cultures found throughout British Columbia through performances, stories and art:

  • DATES: July 1, 2010 - September 12, 2010
  • TIMES: 10:00am - 6:00pm
  • COST: The Klahowya Village is Free (map) [Train and Farmyard vary]

  • SPIRIT CATCHER TRAIN: 10:00am - 5:30pm [$7.50:adult; $5:senior/child]
  • CHILDREN'S FARMYARD: 10:00am - 5:00pm $3:adult; $2.50:senior/child]

  • CULTURAL PERFORMANCES: 12:00pm; 2:00pm; 4:00pm
  • CULTURAL TOURS: Every hour on the hour from 11:00am - 5:00pm
