2010 Olympic Experience: Robson Street Zip Line
Working Downtown? Coming to Vancouver for the Olympics and want to try something new, exciting and daring? Ziptrek Ecotours is offering a Zip Line which sails through Vancouver's Downtown, across Robson Street and over top pedestrians, skaters and buildings! Try something a little adventurous during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games!
There are many fun and exciting activities to check out during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games - none more so than the Ziptrek Ecotour Zip Line which happens to be located in the
middle of Downtown Vancouver!
- Date: February 12th - 28th, 2010
- Time: 10:00am - 9:00pm
- Admission: FREE
- How to get there: The zip line is set up starting from the Law Courts between Robson and Smithe Streets to the north and south and Howe and Hornby Streets to the east and west. Look for the eight story scaffold. The area is very accessible by public transit and is close to all Skytrain routes.
Ziptrek Ecotours - a company which specializes in zip lines in more... natural settings... has set up this 170 meter zip line which careens over one of the City's most well known streets, over the GE Ice Plaza and stops at the Vancouver Art Gallery. If you ask me it looks awesome!
Visitors must be over 19 to sign the Assumption of Risks and Release of Liability Agreement waver to ride the Zip Line or have parental consent - you can download a copy of the form here.
**UPDATED: The Downtown Vancouver Ziptrek Line will be reopening for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games: March 12-21**
