View from Boathouse Arch at Brockton Point, Stanley Park

Image from Brockton Point activity in Things to do in Stanley Park

View from the old boathouse arch at Brockton Point looking toward the North Shore.

When the Brockton Point Lighthouse was built permanently on the north-eastern edge of Stanley Park the plan was to built a boathouse underneath the lighthouse - that plan was abandoned when the treacherous tides made navigation difficult and when the seawall was constructed the arches were left as a passageway under the Brockton Point Lighthouse.
