Canadian Chinese Monument, Chinatown

Image from Canadian Chinese Monument activity in Things to do in Chinatown Vancouver

This monument represents the Chinese immigrants who lost their lives as railway workers working on the Canadian Pacific Rail line and in the Second World War.

This Monument, placed far from the bustling streets of Chinatown is a stark reminder of the sacrifices made to be seen on equal grounds in Canada. Brave men helped build the coast to coast railway, a vital necessity for British Columbia and helped fight in the Second World War.
