E. Pauline Johnson Cairn Engraving, Stanley Park

Image from E. Pauline Johnson Cairn activity in Things to do in Stanley Park

Writing and engraving on the E. Pauline Johnson Cairn erected in 1922 by the Women’s Canadian Club of Vancouver.

E. Pauline Johnson was a famous poet and writer who was half Aboriginal and half European. Her works bridged the gap between two different ethnicities and enticed people to look at nature as a cherished being instead of a tool. Her poems inspired the name for the Lost Lagoon at the edge of Stanley Park.
