Fern Plant on Yew Lake Trail, Cypress Provincial Park

Image from Cypress Provincial Park activity in Things to do in West Vancouver

This fern found on the main Yew Lake Hiking trail in Cypress Provincial Park is an example of the types of plant species that grow in the mountainous regions of West Vancouver.

Ferns are one of the more bountiful plant species found at Cypress Provincial Park in West Vancouver as they are hardy plants which can survive the shorter growing seasons which occur in mountainous and high altitude terrains.
