Lion's Guarding the Millennium Gate, Chinatown

The Millennium Gate in Vancouver's Chinatown is the inspiring entrance found on W. Pender Street which leads into this famed district. The gate with its colourful Chinese characters, bright orange roof and ornately carved figures (like these lions) and the tops of the columns is a true gate rising over the street below and allowing cars to travel underneath.
