The Nitobe Memorial Gardens uses all elements in its design, including stunning cast lanterns and other relevant Japanese artifacts and the surrounding environment to achieve the feel of this Tea and Stroll Garden. Shrouded in quiet due to the high walls blocking out sound from the outside, the gardens are a contemplative and beautiful place visited by many. The cultural importance of the site also draws many Japanese Canadians to the site and those interested in learning more about the customs preformed in this space as well as to look upon the melding of East and West in the use of materials in the park.
