Visitors to the Pacific Museum of the Earth can also touch and see several examples of petrified wood.

This cross section of petrified wood was found in Princeton, British Columbia and is similar to the California Redwood which was once abundant in the region. This is one of a few examples of petrified wood in the Museum.
