The Monument to the Canadian Chinese in Chinatown Vancouver has two statues. This one is dedicated to those who forged a Canadian identity in the building of the railway that stretched from the Atlantic tot the Pacific. This hard and often deadly work resulted in the death of hundreds of immigrants who could find little other work.
