Sandhill Cranes and Mountains at Reifel Bird Sanctuary, Delta

Image from George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary activity in Things to do in Delta and Point Roberts

Sandhill Cranes are one of the Reifel Sanctuary's most beautiful birds, gracefully scanning the waters for fish and other delicacies.

Some of the Sanctuary's most interesting bird residents are the Sandhill Cranes which live in the marshlands of the region usually during migration and some seasonally. These tall, graceful creatures are friendly, curious and very photogenic and wade through the waters searching for foodstuffs.
