Siwash Rock on the western edge of Stanley Park has existed alongside it for centuries, becoming a part of the stories of the local natives in the area.

Siwash Rock, due to its extraordinary shape - different from its surroundings - was embedded in the legends and culture of the natives which lived in the area. Stanley Park in a variety of information boards along the seawall and above on the trails portrays these stories to interested readers.
