Remaining trees not destroyed by the 2006 Windstorms braving the elements on the Western edge of Stanley Park.

Although thousands of trees were toppled in the 2006 Windstorms that devastated the West Coast of North America, some of the hardiest trees survived, creating stable ground to prevent erosion and to become the oldest of the new forest growing on the floor beneath.
