Heron Lake at the VanDusen Gardens, Vancouver

Image from VanDusen Gardens activity in Things to do in Vancouver

The largest body of water at VanDusen Gardens, Heron Lake is home to insects, fish and even occasional turtles and is surrounded by meadows and gardens.

Heron Lake, a large man-made body of water sits on the north-western side of the VanDusen Gardens offering a home to carp, turtles, frogs and insects as well as ducks, geese and herons. Its nearby meadow is an ideal picnic or rest spot for visitors to the gardens.
