Mythical Dog Carving at Museum of Anthropology, UBC Campus

Image from Museum of Anthropology activity in Things to do at UBC Campus

Many legends in local Native lore were carved into wood - some which can be seen in the Museum of Anthropology.

Native mythology is an important part of the pacific northwest culture - this can be seen in the artwork carved into totem poles and other art pieces. Recent artwork takes this to another level with large works take these tales and bring them to life at the Museum of Anthropology.
